*Includes never before seen Deep Listening Band excerpt from 1998.

Performances include Pauline playing with Nels Cline and Thollem McDonas, with Miya Masaoka, with Connie Cruthers, with Triple Point, with Ione, and solo in her Whitney Biennial installation.

Each performance is like a short live set with these amazing musicians. The sound quality is good to excellent as every recording was either done in a recording studio or in a venue with house sound recorded. The final piece here is very special: Pauline performs in and with her installation at the 2014 Whitney Biennial. Pauline's installation captured sound and images from the Whitney lobby, ran it all through her Expanded Instrument System, and then broadcast the results within the gallery. This is the full un-edited performance that closed the installation.

HERE IS A SHORT FILM I PUT TOGETHER ABOUT PAULINE'S INSTALLATION AT THE 2014 WHITNEY BIENNIAL

Here's a bit of the Pauline tribute/event to raise awareness of the film of December 11, 2021 at Roulette in Brooklyn: "Deep Listening: The Story of Pauline Oliveros" has become a crucial conduit for passing along her wisdom as it tells the story of Pauline's life as an iconic composer, performer, teacher, philosopher, technological innovator and humanitarian. Here are Steve Buscemi, Anne Waldman, IONE, Daniel and others honoring the film:

Pauline's practice of Deep Listening is rooted in her fundamental desire to show the way toward a world based upon a dynamic peace and compassion.
